Yah, sorry. I haven't been online since Saturday, so lemme say this:

I did decent at state. But I was an extremely small fish in an extremely big pond of musical ability, and the judges weren't fond of me.

They all agreed I had tongued the notes too hard on my solo, and 2 out of three judges agreed that my solo was "too easy for state level competition". (but one added in their comments, "It's right for you though!")

... And things have come up in jazz band that make me want to strangle our guitarist. Basically put, the guitarist has taken to judging my personality by the things he sees of me, and judges my character as a whole (or so it seems) on what he perceives. And it hurts my feelings deeply.

Friday morning I leave for Acquire the Fire with my youth group (which is a huge Christian rally being held over in Tacoma) so you all won't (and haven't) seen much of me this week. Sorry. ^^;

Hi!

You added my piece “An Explanation of My Atheism” to your favorites a while back. I took it down and resubmitted it. The reason why I did this is fairly simple. The original piece that I wrote (which you probably faved) was much longer and had a bunch of side tangents that I felt required editing. As such, the newer version (which has been up for a month or so) looks substantially different than the original. Due to this editing, I have pages and pages of comments that are utterly irrelevant at this point or engage in discussions that are unrelated to the current piece. If someone is just now seeing the piece, I don’t want there to be confusion or weird side tangents for people to have to sort through in the comments section.
